Retech Systems Llc is Hiring a Human Resources Specialist Near Buffalo, NY

The Human Resources Specialist will work independently to perform tasks to support the successful operation of Retech's Human Resources Department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource related matters, files and records.
  • Sources, attracts and screens candidates by using company database, social media, and attending career fairs.
  • Conducts interviews and filters candidates for open positions via phone, teams, email, and in person.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management in a timely manner.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Conducts and assists with new hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Take on tasks and projects given by the HR Manager and presents findings to management.
  • Attend committee meetings and assist in Health and Safety Initiatives.
  • Lead and participate in company wide wellness initiatives.
  • In constant communication with the HR Manager.
  • Assist HR Manager with Global HR Initiatives given by ower company.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Must be able to understand the nuances of our working environment and adapt.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to quickly learn payroll management and human resource information system (HRIS).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Supportive and encouraging personality to help foster a positive work environment and respect employees.
  • Ability to understand and execute projects with ever changing priorities.
  • Desire to learn and develop as an HR professional in a growing company.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in any field [related to HR preferred]
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in HR.
  • Experience with some Recruiting and Onboarding processes preferred.

The employee occasionally will be required to reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
The work environment is an office setting with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The need to go in to a Manufacturing Setting will be required. The ability to drive throughout Western New York will be needed sporadically.
